“Drink or Rinse? How Herbal Teas Can Boost Hair Growth

Ways to improve your hair health

When it comes to hair growth, herbs work beautifully both ways — from the inside by nourishing your body, and from the outside by strengthening your scalp and strands. Herbal teas are rich in minerals, antioxidants, and plant compounds that encourage circulation, soothe irritation, and feed your follicles. But the question often comes up: is it better to drink them or to use them as a rinse? The truth is, both have unique benefits, and combining the two can give your hair the extra boost it needs.

  • Drink it: Teas like nettle, green tea, and horsetail deliver silica, iron, and antioxidants to your system, which support stronger hair growth over time.

  • Rinse it: Using the same teas as a rinse helps increase scalp circulation, balance oil, and add shine directly to the hair.
